Peterson was more than just a friend to me. He was like a brother. We met as freshmen at Brooklyn College and have been close ever since. He was an amazing, smart, funny, and caring person who touched the lives of everyone he met. Tragically, Peterson's life was cut short when he was struck by a car while crossing the street in Georgia. Despite the best efforts of the doctors, his injuries were too severe, and he passed away in the hospital. He suffered arm and leg fractures, and the medical team could not stop the bleeding.

Peterson never had it easy, but he never gave up. He faced every challenge with determination and heart. Now, his beautiful daughter Harmony, who will turn three this year, is left to grow up without her father.

Peterson lives on through Harmony, and I hope that one day she will understand just how incredible her dad was.
