Well, I never thought I would do something or have to do something like this, but a very close friend recommended that I do so, knowing my situation. This fundraiser will be to help with the vet bills and cremation expenses for my best friend, my children's best friend, and a beloved part of our family for almost ten years. This is personally my first big loss that hit so close to home, and between the kids and me, I think every tear in our bodies has been drained today, receiving the news that Harley has kidney failure and has maybe a day or two left in him. It was all so sudden and quick; some signs were there, but nothing really too abnormal. Until today, when bringing him outside to use the bathroom, he just collapsed. A few hours went by before we headed to the vet. It took a while since I needed to find a way to pay for this expense, as I was laid off from work about a month ago. A few days later, my vehicle's transmission went out, leaving me without a vehicle. And now this. I really am not the one to ask for help, and thankfully my vet is a close friend who will allow me some sort of payment plan, but the costs for cremation and such will be an immediate one.
