Support for Hannah's Recovery and Family

This is the Andrews family. Brian is a Deputy at Yavapai County Sheriffs Office & Hannah works at Goettl’s High Desert Mechanical as Accounts Payable and they have 3 children. We are reaching out for donations to help support our family in this time of need.

Hannah has been diagnosed with Triple Negative, Invasive Ductal Carcinoma at the age of 25. 

She underwent a double mastectomy with immediate reconstruction on June 4th. The night of June 4th, Hannah developed a good sized hematoma in her right breast. The next morning her Doctor had to go back in and remove and ‘wash out’ the hematoma. Having 2 surgeries under 24 hours put Hannah at a huge risk of tissue necrosis because you lose so much blood supply when you undergo a mastectomy on its own.

Hannah had a great first 2 weeks and was looking forward to getting back to work and helping provide for our family again in the next weeks to come. Until her doctor noticed that she had delayed wound healing which in turn was leading to tissue necrosis. She then was restricted from work an additional 4 weeks (on top of her 4 week leave from work) and all physical activity or anything that involved a lot of arm movement. This also meant that Brian needed to request an additional 4 weeks off of work.

Her Doctor ordered for her to have a 3-4 week daily treatment of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. Hannah has been attending these appointments over the course of her 3rd week of recovery. These treatments are 2 hours away in Scottsdale. It has been challenging on our family to arrange the funds for gas, food, and places to stay during this time.

We have been fortunate enough to have had a place to stay the past week and this coming week that is somewhat close to the hospital. But the weeks to come are fuzzy and we aren’t sure how to go on with these treatments financially. For the coming weeks, we will have to be traveling to and from her appointments in Scottsdale daily.

Financially, this has been extremely hard on our family (apart from the outrageous medical bills). Hannah cannot return back to work until she’s cleared closer to the end of July/beginning of August.

We are making this Go FundMe for anyone who has been interested in donating to our family and for all of the requests we’ve received from you guys about making a Go FundMe. We have been speculating this for a while because we know the economy is horrible right now and we are not the only ones struggling. We are making this for anyone who has been wanting us to share our story and have this as another outlet for donations.
