Our family is facing a challenging time as my sister, Hannah, recently experienced a medical emergency that led to an emergency C-section for her baby boy, Luke. On April 26, 2026, at 4:51 am, Hannah had to undergo surgery due to a placental abruption. Luke was born at just 33 weeks gestation, weighing 4 lbs 3 oz. Both Hannah and Luke were immediately transported to ProMedica hospitals, where Hannah was admitted to the ICU and Luke to the NICU.

Hannah suffered kidney damage and other complications, but she has since been released from the hospital and is making progress in her recovery every day. Luke remains in the NICU until his original due date, and we are grateful to see him surpassing medical milestones each week. This has been an incredibly stressful time for Hannah and her husband, Zack, as they navigate the challenges of caring for a premature baby and managing the aftermath of Hannah's health crisis.

Anyone who knows Hannah knows how selfless, caring, and truly kind she is. We are so blessed to have her as a sister, daughter, friend, and mother. We wanted to create this fundraiser to give friends and family a way to show their support for Hannah and Zack, and to let them know they are not alone. Your donation will help alleviate some of the financial burden from extensive NICU and ICU stays, ambulance rides, and other medical expenses, allowing them to focus on Luke and getting him home.
