The unexpected passing of Cristian Salyer has sent ripples of devastating grief through his family, closest loved ones and the many communities he was involved with. His beloved partner of 10 years, Hana Shiozaki, whom he shared a life and a home with is closely and deeply affected by this loss. While navigating this incalculable grief we are calling on support from the community to alleviate some of the financial burdens arising. In addition to Hana, Cristian shared a home he loved with a few dear friends, unfortunately, the logistics that must be navigated in the wake of death give little time for slowness, processing and grieving. Financial contribution will go directly towards essentials like rent relief, memorial costs and offer reprieve for Hana, his close inner circle and housemates to care for themselves.

Cristian Salyer was fatally struck while biking on Monday June 1st leaving work where he was a beloved elementary school teacher. In addition to teaching he was an incredible musician, producer and performed locally in the Seattle area over the last 5 years. He was active in his Beacon Hill neighborhood community and generously gave his time and support to many causes. We will always remember him as funny, kind, overflowing with energy and always willing to lend a hand. We ask you to keep his family, Hana and his many loved ones that he left behind in your hearts as we traverse through the valley of grief.
