Derrick James Hall

It’s with a very heavy heart that I have to make a post like this.. Never would I have ever thought I’d be in a position to help with funeral arrangements for someone’s child, let alone my own nephew. Yesterday, we lost Derrick Hall unexpectedly. At only 25 years old, our understanding is that Derrick went peacefully in his sleep. Derrick leaves behind his young son, Dominick, of only 15 months.. and his mother Brandie Hall. Brandie, a single mother, gave birth to Derrick at only 15 years old herself and have since grown up together. The bond between a mother and child is undeniable. She’s heartbroken and feels as if a part of her soul has been taken from her. The unnatural order of events leaves Brandie in a position to organize a funeral service for her child during the Holiday Season.

Derrick was Brandie's strength to remain strong throughout life and she now feels shattered & lost. She misses his hugs and voice. Derrick was a great listener, easy to talk to, funny, loving, athletic, and humble young man. Derrick was an all-around amazing person and we'll continue to miss him deeply.

Please keep Brandie, Diana & Dominick, and family & friends in your thoughts and prayers during these extremely difficult times. I do not have the details of the memorial service at this time but will update this post with the details as they become available.
