Mary was a devoted wife to her husband Greg for 37 years, a wonderful mother to her two boys, and loved spending every second possible with her two beautiful grandchildren. She was also well known in her church community for being a prayer warrior, leading women’s groups, and sharing her faith. She faced many health challenges after her kidney transplant 20 years ago, but her faith and love for her family never wavered. Even when she was sick, Mary worked hard and cherished every moment with her two grandbabies. Her deep faith and kindness touched everyone around her.
Over the past year, Mary’s health declined. She endured daily dialysis, frequent infections, and heart issues. Mary's body finally gave up it's long fight Friday evening, and she went to be with the Lord.
Because of her medical history, Mary was uninsurable for life insurance, and she was denied disability benefits several times. Greg became her full-time caregiver—watching over her during the day and working nights as a welder to keep up with expenses. He paid out of pocket for many medications and missed significant work to be by her side.
Now, Greg is facing the loss of his beloved wife and the financial strain that comes with months of missed work and mounting bills. We are raising funds to help cover Mary’s funeral expenses and to support Greg as he works to get back on his feet. Any contribution will help ease the burden and honor Mary’s memory by supporting the man who cared for her so selflessly.
