Earlier this week, our family faced a terrifying moment. My grandma was found unresponsive at home and rushed to the hospital. Doctors discovered she had severe sepsis and acidosis. On top of that, she suffered a few small strokes and her organs began to fail. Thankfully, the doctors were able to stabilize her, but she now faces a long, challenging road to recovery.

She is being referred to inpatient rehabilitation to regain her strength and independence. Unfortunately, insurance will only cover part of the costs. The rest, including medical bills, therapy, and the equipment she will need to come home eventually, will be up to us.

Anyone who knows my grandma knows her smile and laugh are contagious. She is a prideful, strong-willed woman who rarely asks for help, but she inspires everyone around her. Even in the hardest moments, she lights up the room. Our goal is to give her the care and support she needs to heal and return home to the people who love her most.
