My name is Juan and on June 19th, my sister Gracie passed away after a hard fought battle with cancer at 35.

Gracie was my best friend, we grew up together bonding over our shared love of Wrestling, Anime, Manga, and Comics (her favorite character was Beta Ray Bill) and carried that companionship into adulthood. What makes this even more difficult is that our father passed away 3 months ago in March, and two years ago our other sister Rosalinda passed away suddenly at 34.

My mother and I have faced a lot of loss in a short amount of time and while we have a strong emotional support network from our family and friends, the unfortunate reality is that there are a lot of financial expenses that come with losing a family member.

6 years ago Gracie moved to Pittsburg and our family pooled our funds to visit her last month after she received a terminal diagnosis from her doctors. This trip was worth every penny but drained most of our funds and we are having trouble covering further costs related to taking care of her affairs.

I need to return to Pittsburgh as soon as I can to clean out her apartment, pay for her cremation, and rent a U-Haul to bring back her belongings and remains. Once back, we will want to hold a small gathering in her memory.
