My cousin Gracie Garcia was only 17 years old — a senior in high school with so much life ahead of them.
They were the kindest, funniest, and most creative kid. Creativity wasn’t just something they did — it was who they were. If they weren’t playing drums or guitar, they were trying to make films. And if they weren’t doing that, you could always find them drawing. They could bring ideas to life with just a pencil and paper.
Gracie poured their heart into art and theatre, especially working behind the scenes in tech. They were smart, full of spunk, and a wealth of knowledge in such a young soul.
Gracie mattered. They were deeply loved by their family, their friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing them.
We’re sharing this GoFundMe to help support their family with funeral expenses and to give them space to grieve without added financial stress. Any support or share means more than we can express.
And if you’re struggling, please know you’re not alone. In the U.S., you can call or text 988 anytime. You are not a burden. You deserve support. You deserve to be here.
We honor Gracie by remembering their light — and by taking care of one another.
Thank you for holding Gracie, and our family, in your hearts.
