Grace, my daughter, was just diagnosed with breast cancer at 34 years old. She is recently married and had recently moved to Charleston for a new job opportunity when she received her diagnosis.

We are still healing from the loss of Grace's older brother, who at 29, passed away from a brain bleed caused by a tumor in his spine about 11 years ago.

This history makes Grace's diagnosis even more frightening, especially as she worries for her younger brother as well.

We are feeling anxious and fearful, but determined to support Grace through this difficult time.

Grace has always worked hard and is dedicated to her new career, but her upcoming surgery and treatment will prevent her from working, leaving her husband to take on rent, living expenses, and her mounting medical bills. He loves her and will take good care of Grace, but as her mother, it is heartbreaking to see her face these challenges, and I want to do everything I can to help her focus on healing without stressing over financial worries.
