Gordon, my father-in-law, is currently on hospice care after being diagnosed with stage 4 non-small cell carcinoma (lung cancer) about a month ago. Since his diagnosis, he has been in the hospital, but unfortunately, he is not strong enough to fight the illness and is now home with us, requiring 24-hour supervision. This has been an incredibly difficult time for our family, as we try to balance caring for Gordon and raising our four children.

His daughter and I both work full time to support our family, but with Gordon needing constant care, one of us will have to stop working to be there for him.
