I am sharing this because so many people have reached out to find out how they can help. If you know Gordie you probably know he would never ask for help, but he needs it now more than ever. About 2 months ago Gordie was taken from Good Sam by ambulance to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital where he spent a week in the ICU. Turns out he has a pretty sizable thoracic aneurysm that will require surgery to replace the aortic valve and artery. He is home and stable on medication, and he has to have another medical procedure before they will clear him for surgery. In the meantime Gordie can’t work for fear the aneurysm will rupture if he exerts himself too much. Sadly, due to various circumstances Gordie is currently without health insurance. He will be left with a monster recovery and a mountain of bills. Gordie would be the first to offer help, but always the last to ask for it. So I am asking for your support so Gordie can focus more on the recovery piece, and less on the financial burden part.
