Support for Gladys Torres-Rivera's Funeral Costs

My name is Janeva Walters, and I’m creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my mother, Yvonne Ortega.

With the heaviest heart, I share the devastating news of the passing of my grandmother, Gladys Torres-Rivera — also known by many as Bruni — who tragically lost her life in a car accident on August 4th, 2025, while in Puerto Rico.

Anyone who knew Gladys knows she was full of life. Her laughter was contagious, her spirit unbreakable, and her love for her family and friends ran deep. She had a way of lighting up every room she entered. Whether it was through her laughter, dancing, or hilarious story telling, Gladys made a lasting impact on everyone lucky enough to know her.

Our hearts are shattered by this sudden and tragic loss. We are doing everything we can to honor her memory and lay her to rest with the love and dignity she deserves. Unfortunately, Gladys did not have life insurance, and the financial responsibility for her funeral now falls on her daughters, Yvonne and Yvette.

We are humbly asking for your help during this difficult time. Any amount you are able to give will go directly toward covering funeral expenses in Puerto Rico and easing the burden on our family.
