My name is Gina, and I am a single mother doing my best to care for my children while facing some unexpected health challenges. In June of 2025, I underwent major brain surgery to remove a large meningioma from my frontal lobe. The recovery was long and difficult—I was out of work for three months, and although I returned in September, I continue to deal with a range of side effects that make daily life and work a struggle.

Because of these ongoing health issues, I have had to use FMLA time for medical appointments and days when I simply need to rest. Unfortunately, my employer does not pay for FMLA, so I have already had to take unpaid days off and am worried about needing more time away from work as I continue to heal. I own my home and am doing everything I can to keep things stable for my children during this time.

The funds raised here will help me cover essential bills, buy groceries for my family, and pay for gas so I can get to work and to my appointments.
