Support for Gina While She Beats Cancers Butt!

Hi everyone! So, if you know me, you most likely remember my mom’s fight with cancer and her subsequent passing in 2020. Sometimes it feels like it all happened so fast that I’m still not sure it happened at all. Everyone around me was so supportive—and I will never lose the gratitude I have for anyone who helped my mother in her time of need.

Unfortunately, like mother, like daughter as they say; I was diagnosed with breast cancer recently. I’ve been struggling a lot internally with making this public, but I want to be transparent about my cancer because of how taboo it seems to be despite being the most common cause of death and disease, and because I need the help and support.

Without getting too deep into it, my current diagnosis is not bad as far as cancers go (lol.) Aggressive, but caught very early. It seems like it will respond well to any treatment I may need. We're still learning more, but my doctors have total confidence that I’ll get through this and be fine. I’m young and healthy enough, and I have people who love me, but watching cancer take my mom and then having to go through it without her has been devastating for me mentally. I feel confident but still so lost without her. I feel good physically, but I’m terrified. I feel so much that it’s overwhelming if I’m being completely honest.

After almost everyone I know donated to my mom’s GoFundMe in 2020, I was absolutely determined to not have to resort to doing the same thing, but the universe likes to mess with me.

I’m currently facing many financial hardships in many forms. My main reason for this GoFundMe, my medical bills, are piling up. Along with that, my diagnosis will keep me out of work for a few months at the very least due to appointments and surgeries, but I still have regular bills to pay and animals to feed. Ironically, I don’t qualify for much government assistance because my diagnosis has such a good outlook.

If you can help, it would be amazing. I’m broke and my little support system is stretched to their limit as well. If not, it’s okay! I promise. I’ll figure it out and keep moving like I always have.
