On Monday January 19th Jerry Oakley had a terrible accident that ended his life. I have started this page to try to help Gina in the expenses that come with the unexpected loss of a loving husband. Any help you can give is greatly appreciated by the family. Jerry had recently started a new job and was not out of the probationary period yet, so anything will help in assisting Gina take care of the expenses that come with this terrible loss. Jerry will be cremated and a celebration of life will be held. I will update once final details are in place as the family is still taking care of arrangements.

Jerry, as most of you know, never met a stranger and always had a joke, smile, and a hug waiting for everyone. He had a quick draw but would always leave you smiling and laughing. He was a dart player to the core, though when he started his dart endeavors is up in the air. He was around in 1997 and played a huge role in getting the youth of the time (Robbie Phillips & Stevie Phillips) started in darts. Back then he travelled for all the tournaments and was a DAMN great shot! His darts went on to play multiple different local leagues and city cup. He was in A & B division for most of his tenure in the RDL & even won MVP of the league in Spring of 2009. Outside of darts Jerry was a UNC fanatic and frequented games with his wife. He loved animals and his family dearly. He is a great loss to not only the dart community, but to everyone who knew him. Any help you can give to help with this loss is greatly appreciated.
