When Gina first called me, she was so excited—expecting her very first baby boy. We met for a maternity gown fitting, and she arrived glowing, wearing the cutest leotard and showing off the most perfect baby bump. She looked beautiful in everything she tried on, and her joy was contagious. Gina was already thinking of her partner’s two daughters, making sure they would feel included and loved, showing those mama instincts from the very start.
On the day of the maternity shoot, it was freezing, but Gina and her family braved the cold, wrapped in blankets and full of smiles. We had a wonderful session together. A few months later, baby Colter was born—a sweet little boy who brought so much happiness. For his newborn photos, Dad brought a full deer mount, determined to make the shoot special for his first son. We captured some amazing moments, and Gina made sure to be in the photos, cherishing every memory with her baby boy.
Then, heartbreak struck. I got the call that Colter had passed away in his crib. My heart sank for Gina and her family. I know how much she wanted him, and I can’t imagine the pain they’re feeling. Her cousin reached out for the raw photos, and of course I shared them, but I wanted to do more. Funerals are expensive, and the last thing this family should worry about right now is bills. Any support or sharing of this fundraiser would mean the world to me and to Gina’s family. Let’s come together and help this mama out during an unimaginable time.
