It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic loss of our beloved Gilbert Ortiz, who passed away following a hiking accident in Arizona. Gilbert was a cherished son, grandson, brother, uncle and friend whose kindness, laughter, sense of humor and adventurous spirit touched the lives of so many.

As Gilbert's family, mother Marie Ortiz and father Alex Garcia navigates this unimaginable loss, they are also facing the unexpected financial burden of travel, funeral and memorial expenses. We are asking for your support during this difficult time. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help ease the financial stress on the family and allow them to focus on honoring Gilbert's memory and celebrating the life he lived.
