I am reaching out to ask for help, which is not something that comes easily to me. But right now, my family and I are truly in dire straits, and I have to put my pride aside for the sake of my youngest brother, Gerome Parker.

Gerome has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure and acute kidney failure. He is currently on the transplant list, but until he receives a new heart, his health remains unstable. He is in and out of the hospital, and while his insurance helps in many ways, it does not fully cover his medication and care. I have been doing my best to support him, but after being laid off in September, I am struggling to keep up with the mounting expenses.

The funds raised will help us catch up on our mortgage, buy medication, food, and pay utilities. We also need to upgrade the breaker box in our home to support the heart monitoring equipment Gerome needs. Without this upgrade, if he requires a Left Ventricular Assist Device, he will not be able to come home and would have to remain in the hospital until he receives a heart transplant.
