Dear Colleagues,

As our CEO Gustavo Werneck shared in a communication that was sent to all employees Monday, the Rio Grande do Sul state in Brazil is suffering from major flooding due to historic rainfall that hit late last week. This devastating natural disaster has led to the loss of lives, the destruction of homes, and the displacement of many families.

More than 300 of our employees and their families have had to evacuate their homes because they are underwater. The Gerdau Institute in Brazil is supporting these employees with immediate needs such as food and shelter, but the road to recovery will be long. It is times like these when we need to come together as a global Gerdau community to support one another. Several of you have asked how you can help, so we have set up this GoFundMe where donations can be made to support our Brazilian colleagues.
