Please help support a local senior citizen after a serious fall
We are raising funds for Georgie, a retired senior citizen who recently suffered a terrible accident after tripping outside The White Horse in Quorn, due to a sunken path. The fall caused severe injuries, including two broken arms, and she is now facing eight weeks in hospital, followed by the need for full-time carers at home while she rehabilitates.
This has been a frightening and life-changing experience, and the road to recovery will be long and difficult. Any money raised will go direct to Georgie to help towards care costs, rehabilitation support, home adjustments, transport, and anything else needed to help her regain comfort, independence, and dignity.
Georgie is a regular at our weekly Friendship Group here at the pub, where senior citizens meet for companionship and tea & coffee. She has become a friend to us all here and we know she has struggled to make ends meet, during this cost of living crisis. I don't want her to worry about the cost of care, when she gets home
I have been in touch with her since she was taken to hospital and she has given me her blessing to share her story. She is in terrible discomfort and pain at the moment and faces an uphill battle to get home.
Georgie would also like to thank everyone who came to her assistance on the day she fell, including one of our local GP's who was passing and first on the scene.
Any donation, no matter how small, would mean so much. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this page to help us reach more people.
Let's see if we can help one of our elders get home and get supported by her community.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
