Support for Georgia Pollock and Family

Brandon and Paislea Pollock welcomed their sweet daughter, Georgia into this world on Thursday, September 24th. Paislea’s delivery was planned and without any serious complications. Then just as Georgia took her first few breaths, she was rushed out of the delivery room to the nursery. Her parents learned shortly that she was not getting as much oxygen as doctors would prefer. She stayed in the nursery unable to be with her family while continuing to be on oxygen. Paislea and Brandon struggled with the fact that they could only see Georgia for short visits every few hours and at first were not able to even hold her. Doctors ran tests trying to determine the cause of her low oxygen levels. Today, Sept 26th, the hospital suggested transferring Baby Georgia to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS to be admitted into the Neonatal Intensive care Unit (NICU). Georgia was flown there by a great team of heroes that already suggested possible issues that could be causing this sweet baby to struggle breathing. After arriving at UMMC, running tests was first on the agenda. Doctors there told Brandon and Paislea that they should expect Georgia to be a patient for at least two weeks. During all of this, Paislea started having health problems and was readmitted for post eclampsia. Brandon will be traveling over to Jackson in the morning to meet with hospital staff.  Paislea is anxious to be able to join them as soon as her doctor says she is well enough. Their other two children are (not so patiently) waiting to meet their littlest sister and have their parents back home with them. This unexpected journey is causing Brandon and Paislea to worry about possible hotel expenses, meals and gas on top of worrying about their real focus, getting their new baby better. They are working on a referral to hopefully be able to stay at the Ronald MacDonald house, but not sure of availability yet. Donations would be greatly appreciated in order to alleviate their concerns. And whether you can donate or not, PRAYERS are invaluable right now. We just want to get this precious baby home and in perfect health with her amazing parents and sweet siblings. We will keep updating as we learn more! Lots of love and hugs!
