Late on the night of January 3, 2026, George Stallings—Michelle’s husband and Leo and Carter’s dad—was found slumped over, breathing but unresponsive. Paramedics rushed him to the ER, and by the time Michelle arrived, doctors confirmed he had suffered a stroke near his brain stem. The clots were successfully removed, but George’s journey was just beginning. He spent 3.5 weeks in the hospital and another 5.5 weeks at an inpatient rehab facility, working tirelessly to regain use of his left side and rebuild his strength to swallow and speak.
On March 6, George finally made it home. He is now hoping to be approved for an intensive day treatment program. His medical team has made it clear: recovery will be a marathon, not a sprint. With time and therapy, George’s brain can learn new pathways to help his left limbs and throat function again. For now, he requires a wheelchair and round-the-clock care.
Michelle and the kids have already made changes to their home to accommodate George’s needs, but there is still much to do to ensure his safety and independence as he continues to heal. The family could really use our help to relieve some of their stress. Donations will go toward medical bills, home modifications, and ongoing care. Please consider making a donation—every little bit helps. Your support means the world to Michelle, Leo, and Carter as they navigate this challenging time. Thank you!
