In a state of grief, we have decided to create this fundraiser as we begin to navigate life without the best son, little brother, and soon to be father who was only 18.

On the morning of May 23rd, 2026, catastrophically, Gavyn’s life was taken from us due to a semi-truck driver who had fallen asleep, lost control and flipped his truck on the highway. While we figure out how to muster the strength to continue life without him, we are asking for support so we can have the time to grieve our beloved Gavyn and honor his memory.

Gavyn was the brightest soul in our lives and was known for the smile he shared with all he touched. He was the most kind, most positive and loving person you could meet. He was a beloved member of the Wheat Ridge community and loved helping people out where he could, from community service to stranded drivers on the road.

He was ambitious and passionate about anything he set his mind to. Whether at work with his friends and coworkers, fixing something at home or building his mobile mechanic business, he always tried his best to accomplish his goals. Most recently, he was going to start an apprenticeship to become an electrician to provide for his daughter, before his life was suddenly lost.

He was so excited to be a father, and everyone knew that he was going to be the most caring and loving dad that his daughter could have asked for.

Gavyn leaves behind his daughter, his mother Amber, his sister Faith, his brothers Devin and Gabe, along with many more family members and friends who are devastated by this tragedy.
