Support for Gather Herb Shop

Donation protected
Gather is a Community Herbal Clinic, and classroom. Our Clinic is designed as an accessible resource for people on a budget and as a stepping stone for people interested in learning how herbal medicine can support their health and well-being. We believe that true healing comes from treating people, not their dis-eases. Our client issues range from acute ailments to chronic conditions. Each client is an individual with unique needs and specific health concerns.

Our Herbal Consultations are client-specific and focus on the whole person in order to create and support the constitutional changes that foster wellness on many levels: physical, emotional and spiritual. As herbal educators, we encourage the safe use of herbs as "food medicine" in addition to an herbal protocol, thereby allowing greater flexibility for clients’ individual needs.

We believe deeply that herbal medicine is peoples medicine. We are working to re-ignite the collective wisdom of our ancestors and to put this traditional knowledge back in the hands of the people. We practice business that has people and plants at the center.

We provide friendly and inclusive services, authentic communication, affordable classes, and consultations, an herbal reference library, and a container for collaboration and community.

We source our herbs from organic farms, locally when possible, as well as out in the wild following sustainable and ethical harvesting principles. All of our ingredients are organic and high quality. Not only are we using expertise, creativity, and deep intention when crafting our formulas, but we involve the community through medicine making classes and workshops.

We engage ourselves and our local community in conversations about health and wellness, alternative healing, social justice issues, and effective communication. The goal is to help people become their own body experts and feel empowered when it comes to their own health, and the health of their families.

What we offer:

Consultations, with appointments made via website, or by phone.

Yoga by Newport Community Yoga, who shares our beautiful space. Newport Community Yoga is a non-profit center for wellness, art and music. The team at NCY is passionate about serving our community by making yoga and mindfulness practices affordable and accessible to all. NCY’s vision is to create an all-inclusive community where individuals are invited to share their passions, practice together, play together, support one another and thrive!

Gather is in need of financial support in order to continue our work and to bring even more offerings to Aquidneck Island.
