Support for Gary's Family after a Battle with Cancer

Dear Friends and Family,

Here we are—nearly three years of fighting stage 4 colorectal cancer, and now Gary is in hospice care at home. He bravely faced every challenge, but the chemotherapy became too harsh, causing him more pain and discomfort. Unfortunately, the cancer has continued to spread and has compromised his liver, which is no longer functioning properly.

We are reaching out for support to help relieve the burden on his family during this difficult time, as well as for what lies ahead.

Gary and Kara have been together for 27 years and have three children: Trevor (9), Calvin (11), and Emerald (14). For many years, Gary was the sole provider while Kara dedicated herself to caring for their family. She recently returned to work about six months ago, as Gary was no longer able to work full time due to physical limitations. However, her income is only about half of what Gary earned. With so many uncertainties ahead and mounting medical bills, I have created this GoFundMe for anyone who is able and willing to provide support to my family in need.

We set up a GoFundMe a couple of years ago after Gary’s major surgery, and were incredibly grateful for the support we received. Although we were hesitant to create another one, my family is truly in need at this moment, and many have asked how they can help.
