Gary W. Davis was a fun, caring, and helpful person who could build a house from the ground up. He was always there for anyone who needed him, and he changed my life in so many ways. He gave me two beautiful girls, Reagan and Abigail Davis, who are heartbroken and feel cheated because they wanted more time with their father. Gary introduced me to his huge family, and even though I was shy at first, they welcomed me with open arms. Tammy Davis, Gary's mom, his brother Todd Davis, his aunt MeMe, cousin Danny Jr., cousin MerMer (Mary), Mama Lacy, and his sisters Rachel and Stephanie will all miss him terribly. My parents, Judy and Kevin, are also suffering from this loss. Our little town of Hertford and West Virginia are in pain and still can't believe he's gone.
I appreciate the support for me and my girls during this difficult time. Even the girls' schools have been helpful. Telling my kids they lost their only father was the hardest thing I have ever done. Gary did not have insurance or life insurance, and the costs for funeral and services are overwhelming. Donations will go towards cremation, urn, repast arrangements (venue and set up fees), obituaries, and flowers.
Any contribution, regardless of the amount, will help ease the financial burden on our family during this difficult time. I know times are rough for everyone, so please don't feel obligated—only if you are able. My kids and I thank you so much. Please keep Gary, his friends, and family in your thoughts and prayers.
