This fundraiser has been created in support of my uncle Gary Medlock and his family.

Following a rapid onset of stroke-like symptoms on March 4, 2025, Gary was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. Without treatment, he was given a 2-4 week prognosis. As of early April, Gary completed radiation and the family was seeking alternative medical treatment - hoping to give him more time than doctors predicted (5 months). This required many out-of-pocket expenses, along with 24/7 care for Gary at home.

UPDATE May 25, 2025: It is with deep sadness that we must inform everyone that Gary passed away at the hospital on May 23 at 11:23pm, after a valiant fight against brain cancer. In the words of Nancy, “God’s faithful ambassador has returned to his country”

Those who knew Gary are aware that he was a man of integrity and had a servant’s heart. He and his wife, Nancy, are parents to 13 children (now grown), 6 of which were adopted. Gary was the main caregiver for their oldest adopted child, Tavis, for 10 years. Along with these roles, he was also a talented carpenter and took on most of the maintenance of their large Colorado home and Airbnb.

In honor of Gary’s devotion, selflessness, and hard work for his family and others, we would like to support his family as much as possible during this difficult time and relieve considerable burdens created from his absence.
