Hello everyone,

With the family’s permission I’ve decided to set this up to help them through this time.

We are reaching out with heavy hearts and an urgent plea for help. Our dad/brother/uncle is currently fighting for his life in the ICU in Palma after being diagnosed with severe bilateral pneumonia and went into septic shock whilst he was on holiday in Ibiza. His condition rapidly deteriorated, and he is now on life support, relying on a ventilator and a specialized machine called ecmo, which is oxygenating and filtering his blood outside of his body because his lungs are unable to function on their own. He had to be flown to Palma as Ibiza ICU had done all they could for him and he required more medical needs.

Doctors have told us he has a 30% chance of survival and every moment counts. The hardest part is that we, his family, are trying to stay by his side during this terrifying time—but we are running out of resources. Emotionally, we are hanging on by a thread. Financially, we are already £8,000 grand down having used up everything we had to get here and remain close to him.

We never imagined we’d be in this situation—far from home, in another country, praying every day for good news, and now struggling to cover the basic costs of being here: accommodation, meals, transport, and time away from work. We can’t bear the thought of having to leave him alone in such a critical state simply because we can’t afford to stay.
