It is with unfathomable heartbreak that we share the passing of Garrett Nicholas, a beloved son, brother, grandson, and friend whose life, though far too short, left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
In the early morning hours of April 12, 2026, Garrett was tragically killed after being struck by a car on High Street in West Chester, PA.
Garrett was the kind of person who loved everyone—and was loved by everyone in return. He had a gift for making people feel seen, included, and valued. A junior business major, Garrett found a true home at West Chester University, especially among his fraternity brothers at Pike. He loved the energy and brotherhood -- and all the silly shenanigans that came with it.
Garrett’s smile was constant and contagious. Affectionately known as “Giggles” by close friends, he carried a lightness and joy that lifted those around him. Not much ever got him down—he approached life with optimism, humor, and a genuine love for people.
Even in this devastating loss, Garrett’s legacy reflects the way he lived—generously and selflessly. As an organ donor, Garrett's family was informed that Garrett saved three lives in less than 24 hours after his passing, offering hope and healing to others in their darkest moments. It is a powerful reflection of his heart and the love he carried for others.

His mom and step-dad are self-employed and will need time away from work to process their loss and care for Garrett's step-sisters during this incredibly difficult time.
