Support for Gallegos Family- Kristie Surgery

Kristie (Kris), wife to Corby Gallegos (PWS High School teacher), and mom to Mirabel (10th grade) and Mateo (7th Grade), suffered a serious fall the day before Thanksgiving. She was on her way to work during the storm when she fell and suffered a complete and complicated break of her upper arm separating it from the head of the bone and shoulder joint. Kristie needs surgery to repair the complicated break and the doctors estimate that it may be 6 to 8 months for the bone to completely heal well enough for her to return to work.


While the family is very grateful that it wasn’t more serious and that there is promise for a complete recovery, the loss of Kristie’s income and the medical bills are huge financial burdens. It is unclear when Kristie will be able to return to her job as a waitress, income the family is dependent on to make ends meet. We are trying to raise funds to help offset these financial losses so that Kristie can put her energy where it is needed most- in her healing.
