My 19-year-old brother Gabriel Diaz tragically passed away last night. Gabriel was a loving, joyful person who brought laughter to everyone around him. He loved making music, hanging out with friends, playing games, and so much more. Our family is devastated by this sudden loss, and it has left us all in shock.

Results of toxicology came back and they have determined the cause of death to be inconclusive as of now. This heartbreaking situation has left our family reeling, and we were not prepared for this in any way—mentally, financially, or physically. Gabriel leaves behind a grieving mother, Carolina Diaz, his father Claudio, myself (Thais), uncles, aunts, grandparents, and many friends who loved him dearly.

On top of this tragedy, my mom due to being ill herself is unemployed, bankrupt, and her house is facing foreclosure. The financial burden adds to the pain we are already feeling, and any support would help ease this pressure. We are now facing the overwhelming costs of funeral and memorial services, as well as the urgent need to support Carolina as she navigates these hardships.
