Support for Gabe & his family

Dear friends and family,

We are hoping to rally support for a brave young man who needs our help. On July 28, our beloved Gabe, a lighthearted and active 14-year-old, was tragically hit by a vehicle while crossing the street on his way home from the gym. The accident left him with a severe brain injury and a broken leg. Also, Gabe's mouth requires extensive reconstructive surgery as many of his teeth are either missing or fractured. His road to recovery is going to be a long and challenging one full of unknowns.

Gabe always has a smile on his face and brings joy to any space. He loves all things sports. Focusing his extracurricular time on Baseball and Basketball. Gabe loves spending time outdoors with his friends and family. He is a bright student, a compassionate friend, and a source of boundless joy for his parents, John and Kailea, earning the nickname "Gabe the Babe". Their world was turned upside down in an instant when Gabe's accident occurred.

Despite the tremendous challenges he now faces, Gabe's spirit remains unbroken. He is fighting hard every day to regain his strength and cognitive abilities. The doctors are optimistic about his chances, but the road to recovery is filled with medical procedures, therapies, and treatments that come at a considerable cost.

Unfortunately, there’s only so much we can do to reduce the strain John and Kailea are experiencing in this situation. With your help, we can alleviate just one source of stress by further lowering the impact of decreased family income and increased expenses for frequent travel and other needs. Allowing them to be fully present for Gabe while he recovers and be readily able to confront the unknowns that come with Brain Trauma.
