My mom is my whole world. Over the past few years, I’ve lost my dad and then brother, and since then, I’ve been caring for my mom as her health declined. Just last week, we learned she has cancer and is now on hospice. I haven’t been able to work for a month, and the reality of our situation has hit me hard. I love my mom more than anyone, and it’s heartbreaking to see her in pain and know that our time together is limited. Her cancer has spread very quickly. And we are keeping her as comfortable and at peace as possible.

I’m struggling to keep up with everything—emotionally and financially. The costs of funeral and cremation are overwhelming, and I also need to move into a more affordable place once my mom is gone. I never imagined I’d be in this position, but I’m doing my best to honor my mom and make sure she’s cared for in her final days.
