My mother and stepfather were married for almost 40 years, sharing a life filled with adventure, compassion, and love. They enjoyed riding motorcycles, camping, and caring for countless stray animals together. Both of them had a deep love for animals, and my mom was especially artistic and loved spending time outdoors. She was always kind and generous, giving her time and support to anyone in need. Even in their final moments, they were together—my mother passed away in the hospital room right next to my stepfather’s, a testament to the bond they shared.

Unfortunately, neither of them had any funds set aside for funeral costs or medical expenses. With my mother gone and my stepfather now in palliative care, I am left to shoulder the financial burden alone. As their only child, and with limited income, I want to give my mom the funeral she deserves and help cover the medical costs for my stepfather. The funds raised will first go toward funeral expenses, and any remaining support will help with my stepfather’s medical bills.
