Support for Funeral Expenses Amid Cancer Battle

Update: Dad was in a lot of pain and not feeling well so we took him in. After scan and bloodwork we found out the cancer has reached his liver and that is what is causing the pain. He is in the hospital until they can control his pain with meds.

As some of you may know and some may not, my father was diagnosed with a rare mucosal melanoma back in October. It started out inside his nose and traveled to his lymph nodes. He was sent to Madison Cancer Center where he had surgery to remove it. Since then, it has been a long journey with 6 weeks straight of radiation, 5 days a week, a battle with sepsis, and a stay in the ICU.

While in the hospital, they did a stomach scope and found a melanoma ulcer. They did a biopsy to make sure, and it came back as cancer. After another PET scan, we found out the cancer has spread to his lungs, chest, and spine. They can only try to slow it down because, at this point, it is not curable.

With that being said, we are looking to start a GoFundMe to help with his funeral expenses. He’s trying to make sure everything is taken care of so we don’t have to worry when the time comes.
