Hello! I really appreciate you taking a moment to read about my family's story and the story of our dad, Abner! Unfortunately, this past weekend our dad passed away and it's been a little rough to say the least. Our dad was the greatest father to us and will continue to live on in our hearts and through our actions.

This chapter of our lives started in December 2023. We had gone to California to visit family and travel a bit when our dad became sick and was admitted to the hospital where we later learned that he had pneumonia. We spent Christmas and the new years in the hospital, then 1 month became 2, then 3, now thank God here we are here at the end of July now where it seems it's time for the next page.

Through these eventful seven months we have had 5 hospitals changes and our family separated over 1000 miles from each other and from home, we have been able to sustain ourselves and between family, help each other through it all, but now the weight has gotten a bit too heavy for us and we are asking for help to support us through this tough time, the money that is donated will be used to help funeral costs and other financial costs to help bury our dad in California. We will also be supporting each other as much as we can from our end to help us get back up quicker! We wished to have been able to transport my father to his home, Colorado, but the cost would be too much. But a piece of us will stay in California and now we will always have a reason to visit!

My dad was a great man, and no words can describe what he was worth to us, his family and to the world. He stayed in the hospital for 7 months connected to machines that helped him live, he was so strong to the very end and endured more than any of us could so that he could have a chance to be with us again. Through these 7 months my mother has stayed by my dad's side and has not missed a day! And has been his voice through it all. All of us siblings had gone back to Colorado to attend school, and work to help support Our parents through this chapter with no regret. Although our father has passed on, we will still hold him in our hearts and continue to live the way he would have wanted us too while also being servants to people, the way he was!

Although this chapter is very sad, it was also filled with so many lessons for all of us. Nothing bad has come out of this, our dad has gone to a better place, and we still have each other with God above us!
