Our beloved dad, Moises Pantoja, passed away unexpectedly on 4th of July at just 55 years old, and our hearts are completely shattered. He was the rock of our family, a hardworking, loving man with a huge heart and a sense of humor that could light up any room. He was the head of our household, the one who held us together, and the one we could always count on.

We never imagined having to say goodbye so soon, and we were not prepared for this emotionally or financially. What makes this even harder is that our family has been deeply affected by the recent ICE raids in our community. Because of that, we haven’t been able to work, and we’ve been living off our savings just trying to survive just trying to survive and protect each other.

This situation has left us broken in every way grieving, struggling, and trying to hold on to faith. We want to give our dad the respectful and loving farewell he truly deserves, but we simply can’t do it on our own.

Nuestro querido papá, Moisés Pantoja, falleció inesperadamente a los 55 años, y nuestros corazones están completamente destrozados. El era el pilar de nuestra familia, un hombre trabajador, amoroso, con un corazón enorme y un sentido del humor que iluminaba cualquier lugar. Era el jefe de nuestro hogar, el que siempre nos mantenía unidos, y en quien todos confiábamos.

Jamás imaginamos tener que despedirnos tan pronto, y no estábamos preparados para algo así, ni emocional, ni económicamente. Lo más difícil es que nuestra familia ha sido profundamente afectada por las recientes redadas de ICE en nuestra comunidad. Debido a eso, no hemos podido trabajar y hemos estado sobreviviendo con lo poco que teníamos ahorrado, solo tratando de salir adelante y protegernos como familia.

Esta situación nos ha dejado completamente vulnerables, llenos de dolor, preocupacíon y luchando por mantener la fe. Queremos despedir a nuestro papá como se merece: con respeto, amor y dignidad, pero no podemos hacerlo solos.
