On Saturday morning, our family experienced a heartbreaking loss. My brother-in-law passed away unexpectedly after battling a serious infection that had spread throughout his body, including his heart and brain. A few months ago, he suffered a seizure that led to a stay in the ICU, and although he was released to continue treatment at home under the care of a nurse, his health suddenly declined.

On the morning of his passing, he was found gasping for air in the bathroom. His son, in a moment no child should ever have to face, tried to perform CPR until help arrived. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

He leaves behind my sister and their three children, who are now facing the unimaginable, the loss of a loving husband and father. As they begin to process their grief, they are also met with the financial burden of funeral expenses and the challenges of adjusting to life without him.
