Earlier this week, my friend’s apartment in Little Rock burned down. Everything is gone — clothes, furniture, work equipment, and personal items. His cat, Leviathan, who he loved deeply, didn’t make it. He lived with and cared for his mother, and now they’re both left without a home or anything they owned.

Along with the basics, they lost irreplaceable things: original musical compositions, artwork, and sentimental items that can’t be replaced.

They need help — not just to get through the next few days, but to rebuild a stable life from the ground up. Any money raised will go toward temporary housing, food, clothing, replacing medication, and other essentials lost in the fire.
