I have a close friend who was struck by a car while on the side of the road working on his motorcycle. The driver fled the scene and, unfortunately, has not been found, as no one else witnessed the incident. Sadly, insurance is not covering this. I’m reaching out to see if any friends would be willing to help support him as he gets back on his feet. Even a small amount from many people can go a long way.

He suffered a serious neck injury that could have left him paralyzed—only about 8% of people avoid full paralysis in situations like his. His bike is totaled, but I’m not asking for help replacing it—that’s not where any support would go (“Momma’s orders”). Rather, I’m hoping to ease the financial strain of him suddenly being unable to provide for himself. He’s 26, a very hard worker, and had just started building his own business last year. He’ll be out of work for at least six months per his doctor’s orders. Knowing him, though, he’s determined and will push through this stronger than ever.
