Support for friend in an abusive home

A dear friend of mine, who would like to remain anonymous, is finally working up the courage to leave her abusive husband. The issue is that she has never called the police on him so there are no reports of abuse, and she does not have the money for a good lawyer or to move into a new place on her own. She also has two small children with this man and no other family she can turn to. The plan is for her to file for divorce and get a restraining order once she secures a lawyer and place to live. Some friends and I are doing what we can for her, but she will need a lot more than what we can give her just to get a decent lawyer. I believe we can protect her from this man if we can provide her with the funds to find a safe place for her and her children and a good lawyer that will fight for her in court. I know times are tough for everyone right now, but we are desperate to help her get out of this situation before things get worse.
