Support for Fred's Final Journey

Last night, my brother’s loyal companion of 15 years, Fred, passed away in the early morning. Fred was named after the cantankerous next-door neighbor, Fred Mertz, from the sitcom "I Love Lucy," a program my siblings and I have fond memories of. In many ways, Fred shared many similar qualities. He was stubborn but always patient, and generous with the time he spent with those he loved.

My brother and I took him to the veterinary ER when we noticed he hadn't moved from his spot all day. He had suddenly collapsed, and his eyes were darting from left to right. The vet told us that he was physically fine but the issue was neurological and that he'd have to run some tests with a primary vet to determine the exact issue. Unfortunately, we did not have the time to run those tests.

It is tragic to lose someone so close, especially when it's unexpected. We are asking for any contributions you can make to cover the cost of the ER visit and cremation. We also ask that you keep my brother in your hearts and minds as he navigates this difficult time.
