Support for Frank's Battle with Myeloma
Donation protected
We have a friend who needs our help. Frank was diagnosed with cancer in the form of multiple myeloma, in May, after months of treatment for back pain. After being admitted to the hospital for pneumonia, xrays and scans revealed multiple lesions along the spine and throughout the rib cage. Fortunately, multiple myeloma is treatable, and although Frank's cancer is aggressive, it was caught rather early. The treatment plan calls for several months of chemotherapy and drug therapy, followed by at least 1 autologous stem cell transplant. The goal is to get him into remission, which for some patients can last many years. This very unexpected diagnosis brings some very unexpected medical bills, for this year and the years ahead. We are hoping to offer support to the McGuckins with donations to help cover the medical costs they are facing. Many of Frank's friends have asked how they can help, and after some discussion, we thought this would be the best and most immediate way. No amount is too small, and if you cannot donate, then please pass the word. Frank has already undergone some chemo and is doing well. He is less dependent on the walker and gets stronger everyday. To have the financial burden of his treatment taken care of, would absolutely help his progress.
