Ezequiel Robledo: "On the morning of January 6th, my father was taken from ICE on his way to work in the morning. We found out on social media when someone shared an image of his work truck on the side of the road, stating that (4) "agents" had surrounded his vehicle even though he had no criminal record. No one had a chance to say goodbye - he was abruptly taken away from us.

My father Francisco Javier Pacheco Robledo raised three kids off his worth ethic alone. For the past 25 years, the only times he’s ever had a off day were important events like graduations, birthdays, and major holidays. Even during these important milestones, he worked half days to still make some money to be able to provide for our family.

He put two kids through college, never charging rent, helping me Ezequiel, risking his freedom just to drive up to LA especially how hot ICE was even a year and a half ago to help me move in to my house for college. He helped pay rent when I couldn’t fill that need with telling me to keep focusing on school and to help pay. I was able to make Dean’s list three times always making sure he was proud of me for doing that and keeping my grades up, thanks to the financial help he provided.

He really showed me how hard working he was, when he would take me along with him on jobs. He was a Flooring handyman, building peoples houses for affordable prices because he knew that it was better to be fair than to rip someone off.

If you know my father, he was very much a people‘s person. He always liked talking to people and socializing and helping others, as he too knew what the struggle was. Recently, a close friend of his passed away due to a heart attack. He to set up a bank account to help the family back in TJ because his son was in college pursuing electrical engineering, and this would ensure the son/student could finish college. That shows me the type of man my father is, always trying to take care of everyone and I’m glad that got to be my dad.

We are raising funds to help pay for $17,000 in lawyer fees, as well as helping pay rent and bills during this difficult time. Even if you can't donate, sharing our family's story and keeping our family in your thoughts means a lot. Any support is appreciated."

All funds will be transferred to his wife.
