Hello my name is Miriam Rios, I'm raising money to send my Dad, Francisco Rios, back to Mexico with his parents. He passed away recently, leaving my mom and his 5 children, including me to deal with the harsh truth. It happened so suddenly and no one ever sees it coming. Grieving a loss is one of the hardest things I have ever faced, but what's even sadder is that even after the passing of a loved one, you don't get a second to breathe. Just a few days ago he was joking around, laughing along with all of us shopping for new clothes something he rarely does. We celebrated his birthday along with Mother's Day and my sister's birthday, all together as happy as can be. He told me that he really liked the cup I bought for him on his birthday, that it was love at first sight.
He loved to eat barbecue, ride bikes and spend time with his family. He would often wear his biking shirts and also passed wearing one of them. I hope He can eat all the good food and continue doing all the things he loved so dearly.
I still find it hard to believe that my Dad has passed away, I didn't think that we would hear "I'm sorry for your loss" so soon in our lives. My hard working, well loved by everyone Dad is gone, and there were still so many things left that I didn't say to him. The cost of sending him to Mexico is estimated to be around 15,000 and my family doesn't have even a fourth of that. I'm not expecting a lot, but anything helps. Thank you to everyone who decides to help out a family in need, and even if you don't donate just spreading the word is good enough. Tell those around you that you love them and please, help me find a peaceful resting spot for my Dad.
