Title:
Help a Foster Youth Start Strong at 21 After an Unexpected Setback

Story:

In less than two weeks, my foster daughter will turn 21 and age out of the foster care system.

This should be a moment filled with pride, independence, and excitement for her future. Instead, she’s facing a setback that could undo everything she’s worked so hard to build.

She has been doing the right things—working as a med tech, paying her own bills, and taking real steps toward independence. While she chose not to go to college, she has committed herself to supporting herself and building a stable life.

Recently, I was able to help her take over payments on a car so she could reliably get to and from work. She stepped up completely—making payments, maintaining the car, and covering all related expenses on her own.

Unfortunately, she was just involved in an accident that has left her without reliable transportation and facing a significant financial burden.

For many people, this would be stressful.
For a young adult aging out of foster care with no safety net, it can be overwhelming.

Transportation isn’t a luxury for her—it’s the difference between:
keeping her job, paying her rent, and moving forward…
or falling behind at the exact moment she’s trying to stand on her own.

Like many young adults, she’s made some mistakes—but she is learning, growing, and putting in the effort to do better. She deserves the chance to keep going.

We’re raising funds to help her:
• Replace her vehicle so she can continue working
• Cover the immediate financial strain caused by the accident
• Start adulthood with a stable foundation instead of starting over

More than anything, I don’t want her 21st birthday to be remembered as the moment everything fell apart.

I want it to be remembered as the moment she was supported, encouraged, and given a real chance.

If you’re able to donate or share this fundraiser, it would truly mean everything. Every bit of support helps her take one more step toward independence and stability.

Thank you for being part of her story.
