Support for Flood Recovery and Relocation

My mother, Angela Williams, returned home from evacuating for hurricane Helene to find her entire neighborhood and home were all flooded. Water came in from back canal and front lake, too. Waist high water in some parts. Her car was fully submerged. She will have to find temporary housing and still doesn’t have any power. My mother has been a teacher for 32 years.

Funds will go towards relocation and replacement of her belongings. All of her furniture, keepsakes, and most of her clothes were ruined and are not salvageable. Her washer and dryer are completely flooded. The flooring in her home is collapsing and she cannot safely get to some of our family heirlooms. Her dog and cat are safe but lost their food, toys, and blankets from the water.

Anything is appreciated during this difficult time as my mother tries to find a new home and replace her possessions.
