Hi everyone. I’m reaching out because I’ve suddenly become the caretaker of five, three-to-four-month-old kittens.
They were born outdoors to a feral mother who brought them to my carport and then disappeared. Over the past month, I’ve been feeding them and working to socialize them — building trust day by day. That time and effort is the reason I was able to safely bring several of them inside before the dangerous weather hits.
The Immediate Crisis: The Storm
With a major storm and severe cold approaching, my first priority has been getting these kittens out of the elements. Some are now safely indoors, and I’m continuing to work on bringing the remaining shy ones inside as conditions allow. I have purchased heated mats for inside their shelter and a heated bowl to ensure they always have water.
They need warmth, safe shelter, and consistent care to make it through the coming days.
The Daily Reality: Feeding Five Growing Kittens
These kittens are growing fast and eating constantly. Keeping them fed with nutritious food is essential for their health, immune systems, and continued socialization.
The Long-Term Goal: Veterinary Care
To give these kittens a real chance at healthy lives and future homes, they will need:
• Full health exams
• Core vaccinations (FVRCP & rabies)
• FeLV/FIV testing
• Flea and parasite treatment
• Spay/neuter when they’re old enough
How You Can Help
Every dollar raised will go directly toward:
• Food and supplies
• Warm bedding and shelter
• Veterinary care
If you’re unable to donate, sharing their story helps more than you know.
These five siblings have already come so far. With help, they can stay warm, get healthy, and move toward safe, permanent homes.
Thank you for supporting their rescue.
